Does it refuse to reinstall or is there no option?

Have you got any other apps on your PC such as:

      Spybot search and destroy

      Adaware

or any traces of Norton internet security

If you have any of these uninstall them from your PC and try again Mcafee will not install with traces of these programmes on the pc the first 2 you can use add/remove but if you have any traces of norton you must go to the Symantec website and download the removal tool.

I know its a pain and you can re-install the spybot and adaware after Mcafee is installed.

I know cos i had the exact same problem and was kindly sorted out by a Mcafee rep.

I dont that Ad-Aware would effect it, As I installed it on the PC with Ad-Aware on thier.

It could be that McAfee left behind some Registry Keys which means that if you uninstalled and tried re-installing it, It wouldnt allow it because it thinks you are re-installing to get the free 12-Months again?

Do you get a particular error message?
