OK, they've borked the delivery of the router.

Hope this isn't an indication of things to come...

The courier collected the parcel, it didn't make it to their depot after 10 days so they returned it to Sky.

Sky have authorised another 'attempt' at delivery.

Spoke to the courier asking why they hadn't even bothered to attempt delivery (no card through the door, nothing) and they told me they had no explanation.

BTW they won't deliver anywhere other than my home address, the nearest depot to collect from is about 30 miles away, they don't offer a delivery time (between 9am and 6 pm anytime in the next 5 days), and after 2 attempts at delivery (on subsequent days) they give the parcel back to Sky.

Damn nearly impossible to get the delivery if you work I would say.

On the plus side I got a bizarre answer machine message that sounded like a BT man testing the line "press 4 to start test..." etc.

You could pay 11.75 to the courier for a saturday delivery if it is more convenient

Thanks for that, I'll bear it in mind. The guy at Sky didn't offer me any options.

I would have happily offered 10 for them to send it by post - the guy is outside our door at 8 am every day, I don't mind if it takes a day or a week as long as I'm at the other end when it arrives...

I'll see if the wife gets it tommorow (she's in some of the day, and the order tracking says its on 'Next Day'). When I get a card, I'll talk to the courier company and try to arrange it.

Maybe they can just put it in the post box with a stamp on it?

Think they have to have a signature, most couriers do, to prove that they have delivered it.
