      Hi,
      I have removed DMZ now but it was not an issue.
      The problem was firewall in the end but I'm sure I have checked this before. maybe some of the settings were different then than now.
      It's all working now.
      Remote destop now

      You appear to have an address that changes frequently, so you should get a DDNS address asap. I use the free version of No-IP which works well. Managed DNS and Dynamic DNS - 100% DNS Uptime No-IP

      I have setup an user name and password to avoid unauthorised access.
      Tested and working now. I should look in to link you have provided, thank you.

      Sometimes a firewall blocks active ftp that requires an independent connection in both directions but will allow passive ftp.

      I have turned this off. I still have my ESED antivirus software.

      For testing purposes that's fine but I wouldn't advise leaving the firewall down on a long term basis. It should be possible to configure holes to allow the services you require.
      Alternatively if the router's firewall cannot be configured to your requirements then individual devices should have their own firewall or the network segmented so that unprotected devices are always behind a firewall.
