      wireless connection problem

      Hi,

I have had my sky wireless router for just over a year now, it has always been connected to our desktop pc and we have never had any connection problems. I recently had a new iphone and laptop and have tried connecting them wirelessly and throughout the house they pick up the router and connect except in the lounge where i want to use them! They both show the sky router in the list of devices and it has 2 signal bars but neither will connect, but if i stand in the doorway they do connect. Could the tv and sky+ box be interfering with them? or is there another solution?

but if i stand in the doorway they do connect.
That suggests the walls are blocking the signal. Try moving the router a bit, a couple of feet either way could make all the difference.

If you really have the GT you could also try fitting a more powerful aerial to it. One like this is useful as you can also move it around to find the best signal. Edimax EA-IO7D 7dBi Indoor Antenna - 1m Cable: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

If you have one of the black routers, then you can't use this as the antenna is internal.
