      Can someone help a computer illiterate in need?

      Hello people, I really don't know a great deal about computers but even i know that i shouldn't have to reset my black box thingy every half hour. It's only 6 weeks old. Please can someone help me before I tear my hair out.

      You need to be more specific. Is this a broadband or tv issue? Which black box are you referring to? Why do you need to reset it every half hour?

      sorry, wireless broadband. There's no problem with the signal but I keep losing my connection almost every half hour and the only solution my laptop gives me to try is the classic turn off and on again.

      Does the internet light on the router (the @ symbol) stay green when this happens, or does it go off and start flashing amber?

      That was what my flatmate told me cos i've never payed attention to it but the last two times it has stayed green.

      Are you connecting wirelessly? If so, change the channel on the router from autoscan to something else.

      I'm wireless but my flatmate is through cable. We've both got the same problem.
