      Two 360's, One Router

OK I recently brought a new xbox 360 and gave my old xbox 360 to my brother, It used to be all fine with all the port forwarding and had no problems with NAT etc, but now I got my new one, his one always says Strict or Moderate, even when mine is off, mine is ok tho... which is really confusing me because it was fine before? Can anyone help me? thanks in advance.

      My Settings:

All settings on both 360's are set to automatic.

I seem to remember reading that the Sky routers do not like 2 x xboxes connected at the same time and you cannot get them both open.

If I remember correctly the other posters in the threads actually bought a different router, i'm sure if you do a search on the forum you will find it.

Here is a bit more information on double open NAT. It may be worth your while having a poke around this site-

Im thinking maybe pluggin in a hub into one port on the sky router and having both xbox 360's going into the hub, will that work?

I don't think so, that would be too simple and brought to notice a long time ago. The bottleneck is the router.

      Re: Two 360's, One Router

hmm my mate used to do it with his old router because it only had 2 ethernet and one usb slots, so he plugged in a hub into one ethernet and extended it into 4, but Im just not sure on how the router will react, not sure how to go about this tbh :\

      Re: Two 360's, One Router

No harm in trying it, but I don't think it will make any difference. Just plug one end of an ethernet cable into a port on the router and the other into the switch/hub. Plug the Xbox into the hub and that's it.
