      Door Bell

I know this isn't really related to Sky or anything of that matter but our door bell seems to ring on its own sometimes as if a ghost is pressing it. Its really creepy and annoying, does anyone know what my problem is and if so how would I fix it?

      Re: Door Bell

If its a radio door bell (you know the sort of think, no wires at the bell push) then throw it away and get a normal one.

      Re: Door Bell

I had this problem with my last doorbell. It seemed to happen when it rained. Ditched it and bought a weatherproof one from Argos - no problem since.

      Re: Door Bell

A neighbour may have a bell working on the same RF channel, try changing it.
Some car central locking systems may interfere with it.
Try and catch the kids that are pressing the bell and running away, probably that Jimmy Clitheroe or his mate Ozzy!

      Ain't Radio 7 great

      Re: Door Bell

I find that because mine has a rubber type button, sometimes if someone presses it too hard then one side sticks in and then it will occasionally ring on it's own or sometimes it will ring a few minutes after the first time..

Pressing it again and straightening it out sorts it though.
