It sounds like either you dish is out of align slightly or your receiver is on the blink, can you either borrow a friends receiver or take yours to them and see if it is the same on a known working setup.

Could be dish alignment, could be a dodgy cable from dish to stb, could be a DECT phone. The DECT phone is the easiest to eliminate, just unplug power from phone and check channels. Dish alignment is possible to sort if you can easily get to the dish. Just try Gentle flexing the dish reflector at the top and sides whilst someone else watches TV. If the picture improves, dish alignment needs sorting. If the cable has ANY kinks/tight bends, you may be suffering from a standing wave and only a new downlead (or chopping the offending part out if possible) will sort it.

I have a sky box upstairs that is also giving probllems. On FTA channels. If the box was on blink. Then rest channels would not work. Also in morning these channels work fine?

      Re: FTA channels breaking up

just to give you update i had someone come and look at my problem. I was told that the trees where blocking the signal also there was a BT phone pole at the front off the house. So it was decided to have 60cm dish put on the side off house. was very lucky found 60cm solid satellite dish with 0.3 LNB boxed for 10. the guy charged 50 for 2 hours work now getting 85% signal
