How Good Are the Sky Routers

      HI, I have three questions

      1) would i get better connection speeds from my home to sky network with a non sky router?

      2) would i get better wireless coverage through the house with a non sky router or wireless access point.

      3) anything I can do to improve speed as well as trying to stabilise higher speeds i.e. maintain the high speeds that i seem to able to get sometimes.

      Thanks

      D

Yup, as said, the original DG834GT is a top notch router.... I thought my "black V2" Netgear would be poor compared to it, but TBH the wireless is even better! With the router being a full 2 floors away from the lapppy, I would "mostly" get Good signal on the DC834GT - With the V2 Netgear I always get excellent signal and a 54mbps link...

Does anyone know how Sky decides who gets the lousy Sagem routers versus the better quality Netgear routers?

They don't, the routers are sent out from a logistics group and it's down to what they have on the shelf.
