      My ip address keeps changing

      Hi all, sorry new to this so please bear with me. I have just got sky and its great the only problem is my ip address keeps changing. Now to some people this might not be a problem but to me i need the ip to stay the same as i use programs while im out of the house that i cant access from els where if the ip changes so is there anyway i can keep the same ip address all the time so this doesnt happen?

      Thanks for any help in advance and sorry to be a pain

      Sky use dynamic IP so it may change everythime the router is switched off or disconnects.

      They do not do static IP's.

      Well i never swich it off so i guess it disconnects itself, bummer if theres nowt i can do, thanks for the quick reply mate

      No, you can't keep the same IP address with Sky and yes there are things you can do. Use a dynamic DNS service (DDNS) such as DynDNS.org.
