Is it possible to use a sky router with another ISP?

      Hi guys & girls,

Is it possible to use a sky router (Netgear DG834GT) with another ISP?

If so any tips on how to access/change the settings. I've gone into 192.168.0.1, admin - sky etc etc. I can see some of the setting I want to change, but can't access them.

      Thanks in advance

      Jason

You need to re-flash the router with the standard Netgear firmware, then it will work just like one.

There are many posts on here telling you how.

      ^^^^^^^^^^ Very poor advice ^^^^^^^^^^

The DG834GT is IMHO a very good router.

Thank you v.much for your responses.

I guessed/hoped I could use it, but have a tendency to jump in feet first, wreck things and then wonder what went wrong.

I'll follow the link moleman and go from there, thanks again.
