I have just signed up for Sky Broadband and have received my Sagem Router, ready for connection next Tuesday.
I have seen no mention of a Firewall being included in the router. Is this intrinsic with all routers? Is one incorporated in the Sagem?

If you log in to your Sagem router 192.168.0.1 then click on the security tab you will see the firewall. Under the Firewall tab you can configure various things.
Hope this helps you.

Changing the inbound rule to ALLOW ALWAYS in effect turns off the firewall. This is not recommended or wise. The router firewall is the first line of defence and should never be turned off, except if your network is sitting behind a well configured hardware firewall. Software firewalls just do not compare and should only be trusted to check outbound traffic which the router can't.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.
