      New Sagem 2504 and NAS

      Hi,
I have just set up my sagem f@st 2504 which works fine on the internet. However I have several other devices on my network, I use the router (previously a Netgear and a BT home hub) to DHCP through a netgear switch to a Netgear EVA8000 and a Thecus N4100pro NAS.
I have been able to setup the EVA8000 becuase it can be controlled via a remote and will search for the IP address automatically. But the NAS can't be accessed via the web interface becuase it can't be seen, therfore I can't alter any of the settings, It doesn't show up on my PC??
Is there some setting that would block this type of device?
      Help!

Re: New Sagem 2504 and NAS

No - there is nothing to block it but the chances are either that it hasn't picked up a new IP address from the DHCP server in the new router or that it has picked up one at random.

Two options. Either log onto the router and find out what address has been allocated or set static IP by giving the router the mac address of the NAS box. This way you will know for sure what address it has.

Another thought - is it possible that the NAS was using a static IP set in the NAS itself? Has your IP address range changed now that you have the sagem?

Plug the NAS into your PC and check it's IP, as mentioned it is probably still looking for the BT hub. You will have to reset it for the Sagem.
