I believe the Recovery Utility is on the disk you receive with the router. I have just downloaded it from here Answer with no problem. If you are having problems with the right click, just use the left click, it will work.

Re: Trying to flash a DG834GT router - using Vista anyone done it?
Hi everyone...
This is a prominent thread that pops up on Google when anything regarding the DG834 is searched, and just shows what a helpful place the interwebz can be - good on you gents!
For posterity, I would like to share my experience in this matter:
I'm not a Sky user, but I do have a DG834GT, and I had the same issue - upgrade failed in the middle of the process, and I was left with a router that flashes power and check lights alternately.
For me, even though the lights were flashing at startup without using the reset button, the EEROM flash would ONLY happen after using the reset button on start-up. There was a significant delay in the flashing starting when not using the reset button as opposed to when using it.
I'm running Windows 7, and had severe issues getting anythign working, but fortunately have a VirtualBox running Window XP (SP3). I bridged the VirtualBox instance directly to my PC's ethernet card, which was obviously plugged into the router. I HAD TO install the Microsoft Loopback Adapter, as posted previously, to sort out the corrupted forms issue.
I tried to use the PN work-around FIRST, which was a mistake, as the standard latest version of the firmware for the GT resolved fine in the devices list. The list was EMPTY when I tried using the PN firmware. Also, it didn't help changing the model in the model.txt file.
The flash executed very quickly - a matter of around 20 or so seconds, and yes, I now have a working router again!!!
Thank you all again for your contributions - couldn't have done it without you!
