Are you are getting corrupted graphics at any stage of the process? If you are try installing a virtual adapter, which has been known to get round this, Details here -
How to install the Microsoft Loopback adapter in Windows XP
If you are not getting corrupted graphics, do not install this.

I have just come in and seen your message. This virtual graphics might be easy for you to understand but my PC is only about 6 weeks old, built by Mesh computers, and therefore I am reluctant to try it in case anything goes wrong. By the way I did close most of my background programs such as my virus software but it did not help.

You may not believe this but I only live up at South Moor, Stanley!! My PC has Windows Vista Home Premium OP system. It has a AMD Phenom 9950 quad core processor. 750 Gb HDD. 4 Gb memory. ATI Radeon 3450 series graphics. I am going away for a long weekend this week down to Scarborough but I do appreciate your help and if there is anything you can see from my PC details above that looks like the obvious problem then if you can let me know then I will try again when I get back next week.
Thanks to both of you.
Robert.

I will take your offer up, £3, if you can somehow give me either your address or phone number and when your are available next week to come down to your home.
I am retired now. I use to work for the government teating new systems and I did have a certificate in building and repairing PCs but I have lost touch with all the new components and how you fit and repair them etc. I wish I was starting out again in computers!!!
Thanks
Robert.

Great news! I borrowed a laptop from a friend and have now flashed the DG834GT. Thank you for trying to help me through this problem. I have always been the type who will carry on trying different things and coming up with new ideas when trying to resolve a problem. I wish you every success in your business venture. By the way my 2½ year old granddaughters mother has just started a self employed business as a web designer if you ever need that kind of contact for you or your customers. My email address is if you have need of her details anytime.
Very Best Regards.

Robert, you should not really put your email address on a forum. It is likely to be harvested by spammers. Changing the @ to 'at' helps thwart them.
