      Synthetic - Try turning off Windows XP Themes and just use Classic see if that helps. I have come across some apps that have occassional issues and just crash without generating any error.

      Simon's suggestion about swopping the firmware images worked a treat cheers.

      Nope neither of those worked it's the same problem as this guy has http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/askin...y-dg834gt.html

      And this pc is the only one wired, or anywhere near the router >_<

      Have you tried running the recovery app in compatability mode?

      Your not running Vista by chance are you, if so it won't work.

      Nah im running XP SP2, gonna try it on another pc, when i figure out how to get one near it, wired lol

      I did, one of the pc's doesnt seem to recognise the ethernet port, so im gonna have to try reconnect my old pc up and do it (the one i flashed it with originally ages ago) Thank for all the help and avice, i'll let you know how it goes
