Help required connecting an NSLU2 to Netgear DG834GT

Sorry my first post is a help post!

I have probably overstretched myself as I know very little about networking.

I have bought a Linksys NSLU2 in the hope of wirelessly connecting an external hard drive to my (Fujitsu Siemens) laptop (running XP).

I have connected it to one of the ethernet ports on my Sky Netgear DG834GT router. Lights on both devices indicate they are connected.

The setup software that comes with the NSLU2 just can't "see" the device. Is there some setting on the router I have to change? Does the fact its a Sky branded router mean some functionality has been removed? Does anyone else have an experience of this?

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

i have the NSLU2. try switchinhg off your firewall as there isn't anything special you need to do with the router or NSLU2 so the FW may be stoppimg it.
