      Netgear DG834G

      I have just received my DG934G router from sky, my service has not yet migrated fom AOL ,could anyone tell me if i can use my DG834 router on sky broadband instead of installing the DG934G, And if so what settings would i need to change . Thanks in advance .

      The terms and conditions of Sky Broadband require you to use the router that they supply. The ADSL username and password (needed to make the connection to Sky's network) are effectively pre-configured on the Sky router, and Sky do not ordinarily give customers those details. In effect, this means that Sky are forcing its customers to use the Sky router. There are ways around this, but I doubt your DG834 will be any better than the Sky DG934G in terms of performance, so the best advice is, as always, to use the Sky router.
