      New sagem router remote desktop problem

      Hi All, I have just installed the new Sagem router (black with the Sky logo on the front).

      I have one remaining configuration problem for which any help would be greatly appreciated.

      I cannot get remote desktop to work.

      I have done the following;

      1. Created a 'service' on UDP/TCP opening port 3389.

      2. Created a rule in the firewall settings permitting this service for inbound and outbound requests and forwarding the request to the appropriate IP address of the machine I wish to RDP to, in this case 192.168.0.3.

      3. Locked my LAN IPs to the MAC addresses of each machine (so the IP on the relevant PC is always 192.168.0.3)

      4. I use DNSDNR to route WAN requests to the correct WAN IP for the router.

      5. As per previous post suggestion, I have deactivated uPNP on the router.

      I can ping both the WAN DNS address and the current WAN IP for the router without any problem, but I cannot establish an RDP connection from outside the LAN. machine to machine within the LAN works fine.

      Any ideas?

      RDP works fine on the Sagem, as I am using it now onto SkyUser's servers. No rule was needed. Or are you trying to allow people to connect to yours?

      Hi, I am trying to remote into my own PC from outside the LAN by typing the IP address of the router followed by :3389.

      V frustrated that I can't work this out! it worked perfectly with my old belkin router and zen ISP! The only thing I have changed is the router to the new sky one and of course the ISP ro Sky.

      Is there anything here that helps? Have you set the router's IP address for the WAN users Start and Finish range? That is the only bit I cannot see you have done other than setting static IP addresses on each PC.
