Can I use the router with other ISP?

I just left Sky and went back to Newnet. I was wondering if I can use the router with my new provider or if I have to return it? I understand that it belongs to me from the moment of installation, but there is this tricky thing about the software belonging to SKY so if I install the factory firmware what would be the situation? Thanks for any help.

You need to re-flash the router with a standard netgear firmware. To do this you need to be on a Windows XP machine (or vista in compatability mode) and use netgears recovery utility which you can download from their site, along with the right firmware.
