      Help on flashing netgear router

      I got my Netgear router from Sky a couple of months ago. Now I want to upgrade the firmware so I can use it with McAfee Wireless Secrurity.

      I've follwed this tutorial (Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!)

      And everytime I click upgrade it comes up with the blue screen. Help anybody!!!

      I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate.

      I think it's a Vista issue and you need to be careful not to damage the router.

      Yep, AFAIK you can only do it with an XP pc (and even then it depends on what else is installed.) Some recommend only doing it on a fresh install of XP.

      I actually did it today on XP and it was a breeze, I made sure I switched off all firewall / anti-virus software first thou.
