      router hacked

i think my router may have been hacked in to i have changed my password but they may still have hacked in ..i have also heard that they are still using a sky wireless connection as they have got the sky password from out of the router and as there are only 2 people in my area with sky i dont want to take any chances
is there a way of changing the username and password (the one ending in skydsl) as when i go wireless they will be using my bandwidth.at the moment i have connected via wire but i need to go wireless 5-6 times a week..thanks.

      Re: router hacked

nope, as thats what is used to authenticate on the server - only way to be sure is to turn off wireless and run it wired and see if bandwidth is still being used. if it is then its something on ur PC...

      Re: router hacked

Change the router access password and switch off remote admin and change your WAP key.

The only way you could then be (realistically) hacked is for someone to connect to the router via ethernet to then get into the setting to see your WAP key.

Sounds like you're alreeady on top of the situation. However, for future reference, read point 5 here: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/askin...tions-faq.html.
It explains what the 3 different user names and passwords are.

I am curious: what makes you think that you've been hacked?
