      as said before, quoting router stats means swert FA to anyone in Sky - even most tier 3 agents. It's not part of training as it's not used by the connection - hence the Sky test button which makes troubleshooting easier. In all essence you should've been refused tech support and not being funny I woulda said bye had it ben me......

      you could just ask for a new router to be sent (say it blew a fuse or something) and you'll get a cd then...

      i would say just say no lights on it my self as for non sky firmware well i use netgears own and with the up date other mth my routers has been fine and no drop out unlike with skys firmware and also since useing it sky have uncaped me so i get 16 meg well 15meg in truth which is loads better than befor i was on 8 then 10

      Cheers acoolwelshbloke, I viewed the post before the link was removed. Sky firmware restored successfully.

      I didn't give tech support router stats or opportunity to say "bye". Immediately Sky test was mentioned I made my excuses, hence this post.

      After reinstalling Sky's firmware the next agent didn't ask me to do a Sky test. Just checked the status of my exchange (Bradwell Abbey) - engineers onsite / ongoing incident.

      p.s. the link that was removed doesn't require a username/password. The links that remain on the thread do!
