I have been using Sky BB for many months now and have had very few problems - until today. A few days after receiving my Sky router I obtained my adsl username/password and replace the Sky router with a Zoom X5v. This has been working perfectly - until this morning. I got up and had no Internet access.
Looking at the router - I have no WAN IP address. If I reboot the router, it sees the ADSL connection, logs me in successfully, but still cannot obtain an IP address.
If I plug my Sky router back in it works first time. I don't suppose Sky has started to block MAC addresses of non-Sky hardware have they??? I hope not.

Re: Weird problem
It's possible. Sky are aware of the fact that people use non-Sky routers. They may be piloting or indeed implementing ways to detect / prevent this. I would if I were them!
