      Using different router

Hello I am thinking of migrating from pipex to Sky but wondered how easy it was to use your own curent router as opposed to the one supplied. I have a Netgear D834pn and seen several mentions on various forums about it being difficult to change because of the password issue. Just wondered if that was the case or is it fairly easy just to swop them over?

      thanks

      Re: Using different router

There are lots of threads on this subject -- and a utility to extract the Sky code
so that you can apply it to another router. Useful to do this in case the Sky router breaks -- but, whatever people might say, the Sky version of the Netgear DG834GT works okay most of the time -- and it's free -- so you may not need to use your existing one.

I'll add the "how easy is it" to the FAQ.
