Setup Wireless IPOD Touch on Sky Broadband

To set up your Wireless IPOD Touch with Sky Broadband, try the following:

To set up your Wireless IPOD Touch with Sky Broadband, try the following:

1.On your IPOD Touch go to the WIFI section
2.Where it says choose a network choose OTHER
3.Type in your SSID (should say it on your router or the Card that comes with it)
4.Now press SECURITY & choose WPA (might be WEP i forgot what the default is ) then press the Other Network button (top left of the screen) to go back
5.Lastly type in your network key (also on your router and must be in capital letters) as the password & press JOIN

You will have to ensure that you use the Shift Key before entering each character in order to enter the SSID Passphrase in capitals

Hi I have done this and seem to have a strong connection level, but i can't connect to anything via the ipod touch. Can you suggest anything else as i don'y know much about the ipod or pc technical side. Many thanks

After much prodding of the router I discovered that this only seems to work if you set the RIP direction to 'Both' under the Advanced -> LAN IP Setup section

My daughter has just treated herself to a new ipod touch (she already has an ipod) and I've set the wi-fi connection up, got a tick, it's all there, but it does not work. If I click on an internet site for eg YouTube, it says 'loading' for ages as if it's attempting to work, then says, 'cannot connect to YouTube'. It says the same thing for each internet option. Any ideas what I can try? We've kept the packaging, might be heading back to the shop as it's now no different to her existing ipod player

when entering you network details on the Ipod Touch, make sure you type in your sky ssid & network key using upper case! Took me 20 mins before I worked out what was wrong.

Ive been trying to connect my itouch since xmas eve to no avail. Ive had nothing but problems since signing up to sky broadband (like only getting told aftersigning up that I cant use my own N-class router. Any other ideas about this itouch connections?

my wi fi failed all of a sudden fort it was the iPod until I connected with no problem at my mothers. I found that after entering i p address into search bar then when promted enter username /admin password/ sky you can then change settings in your router I changed the channel from 6 to 1 and my iPod connected with no problem . Hope this helps.. Defalt ip address is 192.168.0.1

Ihad a connection with my email on the ipod touch.I now seem to have lost the connection.Everything seems to be in order but when I put in my ssid code but it gets rejected.I recently was about to move and had to renew everything with sky, though I still have the same Router.Is it possible that a new code may have been set up which I know nothing about?
