what happens if you dont have a sky email account? My email provider is supanet.com but i use sky and my broadband provider. I used to have my out going server as smtpsky.com but it no longer works... any sugestions?

ivanwaterman - You have to log onto the Sky.com website and go into your email first. Inside the Google/Sky mail page goto Mail Settings then Forwarding and POP. There is a setting here to say Enable POP mail. Once you have done that, the above settings should work with Outlook Express.

sashaelliott - Your incoming email settings should stay the same but your outgoing settings need to be updated to the new smtp.tools.sky.com outgoing settings (along with authentication etc.)

Help please? We have sky for our broadband but it's a shared student house, nobody seems to have the account information. Just putting in the smtp.tools.sky.com doesn't let me send emails, that's all I need, my webmail is getting full! Please someone help? What do I add, what do I do?

I use wi-fi from my landlady's router. She recently changed from Wanadoo to Sky and now I can't send e-mails from OE on my laptop but I am still receiving them.
Any remedies?

Have tried installing Outlook Express as that was the system I had always used, before moving out of cable area, and having to install Sky
Have paid a professional to get OE to work and despite him going through process with Sky team, totally unable to get OE Nightmare. Why?

Hi, what you need to do is go to my sky, then manage additional user, then set up a additional user, fill the form in as yourself giving yourself another username and password,
then enter the new username and password on your outlook setting and it should work,
then i set myself as the main user in my sky ,billing center, upgrade.
I then deleting the old one.
hope that helps :)

Just moved everthing over from BT to Sky and all went perfect, also e-mail to OE, not sure why that worked but it has.

Hi, just read all the comments, I too am total fed up that I can't get out look express. I have done all the long list of things sky say, but it is no good. I will try what Julie suggests a new username and password, then I shall throw the towel in, Sky are hopeless at helping. Hilary

Have spent hours trying to solve the problem with Outlook Express and getting no where. Sky technical Dept less than useless. Wish I had stayed with my old provider as this is causing me real problems.

My mate whose a computer buff has just spent the best part of 5 hours trying to sort out Outlook Express as my e,mail account and has failed. this is a conspiracy on SKY,s part to get you to use sky e,mail. the sooner I leave the better.

I've just swapped from BT to Sky as well and the only way I can receive/send emails on Outlook Express is to forward all my emails from MySky to my other email address through our business website which is also forwarded to Outlook. I've been told this isn't totally reliable though as it's going through 2 portals but I'm still angry at wasting so much time on the phone with Sky that I thought I'd better cool off for a few days before trying again. The technical helpdesk are totally useless they even said it was a Microsoft problem but couldn't tell me why and I hate to imagine how much my bill is going to be as I was routed to M'soft in the USA and still got nowhere as they didn't know what I was talking about!
