i agree, i changed from virgin media to sky as they told me i could get 16mb for the same price i was paying virgin media's 10mb, since i changed my upload speeds and download speeds are much slower than i was getting with virgin. i download at about 600kb/s with virgin i was getting 3-5mb/s download and 100-200 upload speeds. dont trust sky any more and im trying to find out if i can break the contract due to poor service.

Is better than BT who would only give me 2.5 mb/s for £30 month, I moved to sky and they can give me 6mb/s about 700kb/s downloads now altho uploads are only about 140kb/s.
But then it only costs £5 month for sky so not too bad really.

How sky can provide 6mb and BT only 2.5 when its BT that own all the lines and exchanges is puzzling tbh.

I'm also delighted with Sky. I've had it over a year and consistently get > 11.5Mbps up to about 4pm GMT and c. 6Mbps after that. My neighbour has changed from AOL to Sky recently and he is getting similar speeds.

I consistently get >14Mb/sec compared to VM when I struggled to get 6 and I was paying for 10Mb. I cannot fault SKY Max BB.
