The Sagem F@ST 2504 router gets a new FW
Our members are reporting that the Sky Sagem F@ST 2504 routers, are receiving a new automatically updated Firmware.
It would appear that the roll out of the new FW for the Sagem F@ST 2504 router has now started.
Unfortunately we were not tipped off about this, however posts are now appearing on our forums, stating that the FW version is indeed 1.9Sky
One of the issues that was allegedly being addressed, was the difficulties connecting to a VPN connection, that so many people had complained about, in the past. Although this has been denied this evening by a known member of Sky Staff.
A couple of new features have been introduced:
Cannot browse error page, so you know if there is an issue with your Internet Connection.

New Wireless Access List Screen, this makes it far easier to allow access for your wireless devices.

Being both a very old and relative new comer to IT and BROADBAND I have - so far - been fairly pleased with the service I get from SKY - TELEPHONE - TV - BROADBAND EXCEPT IT IS A BIT ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE FOR OLD AGE PENSIONERS.
Our only child and her family live in the USA so it is the way we keep in touch - I have subscribed to SKYPE but so far neither my wife nor I have had the courage to try it out.
SO WHAT ON EARTH IS ALL THIS ABOUT SAGEM ROUTERS.????
I have only one real complaint as having been involced in all aspects of engineering for sixty years or more I would be grateful if anyone could tell me what on earth is all the lights on the router for and what on earth are all the sockets at the back for.
Engineers are nosey - that is what MADE BRITAIN - so I am not at all happy about the way the skimpy instruction book skims over them with very skimpy explanations.?
GOD BLESS ALL
JOHN
