Rumour has it, from 22nd June 2009 that there are to be some changes to Sky's current broadband offerings.
This news is unconfirmed.
Rumour has it that there are to be some changes to Sky's current broadband offerings.
Currently the options for Sky Broadband are,
Sky Base - 2gb Monthly usage
Sky Mid - 40gb Monthly usage
Sky Max - Unlimited Monthly usage
As from 22nd June, allegedly these will then be known as:
Sky Broadband Unlimited - 20Mbps Down/1.3Mbps up
Sky Broadband Everyday - 10Mbps Down/600Kbps up
No idea on Base, and apparently Everyday is a 10GB cap...
Although it is certainly not clear that the old packages will be removed, or if the newer ones would be for new customers as from 22nd June.

The information you have got about the new Sky packages is correct. They are changing the Mid, Max and Connect packages.
Connect package is basically going ADSL2+, and I believe that it will soon offer upto 20Mb, like the Max package. Not sure about usage limits though.
Also, there may or may not be an additional package added, specifically for gamers.
I don't know if the changes are going to affect all existing Sky customers, but we are aware that some older customers are getting their lines regraded to the new upload speeds atm
