Further to our news story regarding the possible Security Flaw on the Netgear V1 routers, (these are the White Netgear DG834GT version) Sky have provided us the following document for members to download, to change the default password, and implement as a precaution.

Once again, we would like to reiterate that this is something as a Sky Customer that should not cause you any alarm, it is merely a precaution. The actual process of capturing your default details is really quite complex.

Sky have also assured us that they will keep this website and our members in the loop and inform us of future developments.

The document is attached to this post and we will publish it as a web page asap

If you have any concerns or questions, please ask in this thread so we can advise and keep all the information in one place.

Are Sky taking the proverbial p**s!

Look at the download and upload connection speeds in that guide!

19577 downstream connection and 1055 upstream connection :o)

Maybe only sky employees are given those sorts of speed?
