If you want the Sky USB adapter, the best place and price for this seems to be from Sky themselves.

20.00 and about 3.00 for postage.

Ring them on the freephone number to order

the belkin adaptor was ok when i used wireless but have changed to wired as downloads are faster [even when placed next to wireless router it was consistantly 50-100kbps slower than ethernet] the belkin was about 17 when i bought it

      Re: Best Wireless Adaptor?

I don't think there's a lot of difference between brands -- many use the same chipset.

But I have found that an obsolete PCI adapter (ADMTek) was far more effective than a Netgear USB unit similar to the one Sky offer.

Having said that smaller brands tend to go out of business, so no new drivers -- whereas Netgear's support is good, and Sky will support what they sell.

go for the sky usb adapter available from the sales dept on 08705 515515
20 quid plus postage, same adapter is 40 quid in pc world and sky will give technical support if u have wireless problems.

if u got with say a belkin, very little support given as its a non sky product.

      Re: Best Wireless Adaptor?

I went for the Netgear WG511T 108 Mbps Wireless PC Card.

Had a job getting hold of one no PC World branches had them in stock, nor did many of the mail order companies I normally deal with.

In the end paid just over 20 inc postage, works really well, picks up a strong signal anywhere in the house, I also have a Belkin 54 Mbps card that seems to struggle with the signal.
