Using wireles PDAs with Sky router

Help, I am going slowly crazy with Sky technical support unable to know what time of day it is let alone how to solve technical problems.
Basically I have a HP 4700 PDA with 802.11 support. I used to use Pipex with a BT Voyager router and everything was fine!
Now I am on the Sky netgear box it connects up fine and the ipaq wireless wifi button goes green, but the internet explorer just fails with 'The page you are looking for cannot be found'. This goes wrong for internet addresses and trying to connect to the router on 192.168.0.1
My wireless laptop works fine. Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Using wireles PDAs with Sky router

Does the PDA actually pick up an IP address from the router? Is the PDA set to obtain an IP automatically, & is the router set to dish out a large enough range of IPs to cover all your devices?

If you have MAC filtering turned on (Wireless Settings > Wireless Station Access List > Access Control), then is the PDA's MAC address in the list of trusted wireless stations?

Does the PDA support whichever type of wireless encryption you have the router set to? (e.g. WPA-PSK)

My O2 XDA Mini S is able to connect wirelessly (using wireless G, WPA-PSK) to my Sky router without problem.

Change the encryption type on the router to WEP as stated above. Your PDA probably does not support WPA
