      Wireless network: Forbidden?

I am changing my base unit and am looking for a cost effective way to move my files from my old base unit to my new base unit. My hair brained scheme is to use a laptop as a storage device for files from my old base unit which I will then put on my new base unit.

My desktop is connected to the sky netgear router by ethernet cable (previously wireless but connecting through to the internet through ethernet fine). I now have a laptop attached to my WG111T wireless adaptor, this wireless adaptor seems to be picking up the router but I am getting the message:
      Forbidden
      You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

Why am I getting this message? How can I access the internet wirelessly through my laptop? How can I transfer files from my old base unit to my laptop?

      Re: Wireless network: Forbidden?

Try this: Error 403 "Access Denied/Forbidden"
As for transfering of your files make sure both PC's are in the same workgroup and that logins are the same and allow sharing of the folder(s) you wish to access.
