      wireless adapter?!?

      waiting on my sky broadband router and activation date. what is the best and cheapest laptop card/usb adapter for the sky router?

      Avoid wireless if you can because you lose speed and reliability. If you're likely to have reception problems, spend more and get one of the extended range models.

      Argos have a fair range of wireless adapters at reasonable prices, though I would favour Netgear for ease of installation and construction quality.

      PC Card (aka PCMCIA) wireless adapters may be more effective than USB. Also, USB devices extend further from the body of the laptop making them vulnerable to damage if you move the computer around (though the USB extension cable may be helpful for reception).

      You can also get a netgear USB adapter from Sky 20 I think, and Sky support this for technical assistance also.

      Since when? They don't know what one is, never mind how to support it! Get any you like, all the support you need is available here!
