    D Link Wireless NIC - Not working.

      D Link Wireless NIC - Not working.

      Hi,

      On my laptop, i can see the routers SSID, 'SKY***' when i click on 'view available networks'.

      However, when i click on connect to that network, it doesn't connect to it.

      Any tips?

      The thing is, i don't think i can play around with testing each channel etc, as it's the NIC is not actually connecting to the router.

      Have you tried turning the security off?

      Have you followed the tutorial?

      I know it sounds silly, but have you made sure the switch on the laptop for the wireless is definitely switched on?

      Some wireless card will see it but when switched off or on.

      Apart from that I really do not know what to suggest, someone will be along to help soon

      had the same problem, the problem was with the sky router not the D Link card. After many phone calls to them they finally admitted it might be the router and agreed to send a new one. It arrived today, plugged it all in typed in the network key and hey presto worked a treat. Hope this helps
