      How strange? I always reccomend a quick restart when anything like that happens... usually solves the problem...

      brilliant to hear you solved the problem!

      Re: D Link Wireless NIC - Not working.

      It was my fault!

      when i disabled the security, i didn't click apply... so all of this time, the security had been enabled.

      As soon as i disabled the security, the wireless on my laptop instantly connected!

      Sorry guys for wasting your time!

      Apologies.

      But you should really reapply the security, While connected securely copy&paste the wep/wpa key (eliminate mistypes) and then try and reconnect!

      Re: D Link Wireless NIC - Not working.

      That should have been While Connected;

      1) Log onto http://192.168.0.1
      2) Copy and paste the WEP/WPA key into? Notepad
      3) Turn the security back on, And where you insert the kep into the Windows Wireless Config Box, Paste the key into there!

      That means the key is 100% correct, No LoWeRCaSe mistakes...

      ahah! Have you changed the settings in the wireless settings...

      There is an option there so that it only connects to open networks or only secure or both... have a look
