      Exclamation don't forget the obvious

I got back from holiday to find that my laptop would just not connect wirelessly as it had been doing for 3 months. Various lengthy calls to Sky, changing the security settings back and forth culminated in a chap called Gary making it work. He said he had pushed a stronger signal down the line to my router box. Amazing! I went back upstairs with the laptop, and again the connection dropped. More in a spirit of idle fiddling, I tried to push the antenna at the back of the box to a different position. Wait a mo', it seems a tiny bit loose, I'll just turn it a bit, wow, it was a little bit loose, ah, now it's tight. Back upstairs, everything's just fine.

Motto, I have seen a load of desperate questions on this forum, maybe for some, the answer was awfully simple!

      Hi Paul,

So a fairy broke into your house while you were away and loosened the antenna, unbelieveable

Did you read the quick start guide?

“Don't forget the obvious” is good advice.
I am often amused when reading problem solving pages in manuals.
      The solutions are often obvious.
      Examples:
Have you turned the power on?
Is there a DVD in the tray?
Is the scart lead pushed right in?
Did you remember to check the link?

My Sky Broadband Max connection is Fast, Reliable and a Bargain.
