      Connecting Wireless...experienced User

      Hi
Ive got Sky Broadband Up and running.
Ive got a ethernet link OK on my PC
Ive even got a wireless link on my office laptop.
But Im having lots of problems with my other 2 PCS.
They have proper installs of XP Pro. Ive got Netgear MA101 USB wireless connectors on them. They can see the SKYXXXX wireless connection, but when I connect, it trys for 2 mins and then wont do anything.
I understand about MAC addresses, WEP, etc etc, and have gone back to basics and even tried to connect with no WEP at all, but with the same result. Any ideas? Help would be appreciated.

      Connection

Hello i had some problems connecting using an Asus wireless pci card so i installed a Netgear USB wireless adapter. I used the cable that was supplied which gave a better signal to the router. I also changed the channel from the default 6 to 11 which improved more and gave 5 dots in signal strength using the netgear monitering software. We used the SSID and Network key provided by Sky encryption was WPA-SPK we did not use WEP.Hope this helps.

      Using WPSKA

Well I did wonder about that. What Im stuggling with on that front though is in the Advanced setting of XP wireless on the PC itself. It asks for a WEP key, and the WPSKA is not an option. If I try putting in the WPSKA code sent by sky, it says there are not eneough letters in the code. Or is the code sent by Sky the Passcode generator, and that in turns gerenates the 4 keys?

      Sorted!

      Ok, so thats sorted.
It turns out that the Netgear MA101 USB wireless adaptors on the PCs are not compatible with the Sky Netgear Box.
I put new adapters on, and it worked first time, even with my own SSID and WEP settings.
      Thanks for your help.
