      Maintaining Wireless Connection help!

Please all speak to me in layman terms, I am not too hot on connection knowledge.

When I hook my laptop up to the router using the cable provided, it works fine.

But when I use my laptop wirelessly, I am lucky to maintain connection for more than 3-4mins.

The connection speed drops from 54mbps to 24mbps and finally 1mbps and that's it!

Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this problem?
It used to work fine wirelessly with Orange.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
