      wireless connection help req

      Hi
My daughter has come home for a few days to do some uni work away from any distractions. She has brought her laptop with her but we don't know how to get a wireless connection. The wireless icon tells us there is no wireless connection, tried to detect one but no luck.I have had a look in the router settings and everything seems ok there, do I have to install the sky software on here laptop to work or is it something else?.
Laptop is a Dell Inspiron with Centrino processor.

This may sound silly, but have you turned the switch/button on for the wireless icon, as it is a laptop there is normal a swith/button so that you can save the battery.

There is also some software that is normally installed on the laptop that should allow you to configure the router if not have a look in the device manager. If you have any problems with this then please call.

You need to make sure that the wireless icon is illuminated on the front of the router.

      Hope that helps you

Now sorted,it was just a matter of turning wireless on but with not having the manual to hand it was a bit of guesswork to figure it out, a combination of a couple of keys.
      Cheers.
