    wireless speed issues

      wireless speed issues

      hi everyone
      new to the forums found this great site a few weeks ago.my problem is that when i connect by ethernet i am getting speeds of average 6500 but when using wireless i am only getting speeds of 3500 my laptop is directly oppisite the sky router no more than 7ft away.this does seem a big difference in speeds i am baffled at the difference and a bit of a novice so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

      Is your router set to AUTO108Mbps?

      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Do you know what connection speed it's using on the wireless adaptor? On 11Mbit you'll find that the maximum transfer speed is severely limited as the adaptor and the router can't both talk at the same time.
