Re: Wireless Setup between Sagem router Laptop & Printer

Let me save you some issues: you do not need to power down your router so much.

The only thing I can figure is maybe the printer changed IPs again? That *SHOULD* have worked.

You may need to reinstall the drivers; I'm out of ideas. To be honest; I've installed two wireless printers in my lifetime; one gives me constant headaches and the other apparently hasn't given the guy any issues in the 3 years he's been using it. All I did was static out the IP.

I've always found it's more reliable to connect a printer to a spare computer and use windows sharing to print to it. If you've got a spare PC on your network; that is another option.

Re: Wireless Setup between Sagem router Laptop & Printer

I think you should go back to basics and follow this guide to set up with another router.
      http://www.usa.canon.com/CUSA/assets...ange_MX512.pdf
Before you do so reset the router to factory settings so that no changes you have made interfere with the new settings. Reset by sticking a pin in the reset hole in the rear and hold it there for 10 secs or until the lights flash.

If it is a Sagem 2504N router, try first using the WPS button. On the Sagem the button is located on the side/end of the router. If it is a standard 2504 there is no WPS button so it will have to be done manually.

      Go to:
Download the Free Nmap Security Scanner for Linux/MAC/UNIX or Windows
and download the correct version for your operating system.

Glad to know you got it working! Now you should be able to figure out what to do if it stops printing again.
