Phone/iPad connected but not pc to broadband
Hi,
We changed to sky broadband this week and I've connected the iPad and mobiles etc to sky no problem. However I can't get the pc or laptop to connect. The router must be working to get it on the iPad. I get a connection on the pc but instantly it disconnects.
can anyone tell me how to fix it.

I would first check that the settings are correct for the Sky router. If you previously had set up the IP Address manually, either undo that or adjust it so that it is compatible with the Sky router.
Also how are you attempting to connect to the router? i.e. WiFi, Ethernet cable, HomePlugs
Default settings on the sky router:
IP Address = 192.168.0.1
If you were to set you computer to:
IP Address: 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
things should be fine.
If they don't work, check your AV & firewall software as they could be interfering.
