Question Adding A Sky Router To Boost WiFi Signals

      Hello everyone

I'm wondering if someone can give me some simple instructions to add a sky router a friend has given to me to my current talktalk router so I can boost the range of my wifi and let me connect my TV to the internet.

      The talktalk router:
      D-link DSL-2680
This router is connected to the phone line (internet) and is at the front door. The signal reaches the back room but not the back garden.

      The sky router:
      Sagemcom
I hope to put this router in my back room on the other side of the house.

Currently the talktalk router drops the connection once or twice when in the back room but the main reason for setting up the second router is I plan to connect the sky router (wired) into my TV so I can use the iplayer/netflicks stuff and give me the ability to connect to the internet in the back garden.

Hopfully this is possible I'm just not sure what settings to use.

Question Re: Adding A Sky Router To Boost WiFi Signals

      Sounds great.

I can turn it around and follow it all the way up to step 19

      19. You are now ready to relocate the 2nd router to where it is going to live. If you are using a long
Ethernet cable, then plug one end into your Sky router, and the other into one of the LAN ports on the
      2nd Router
If you are using a pair of HomePlugs, then plug the first HomePlug into the Sky Router. Place the 2nd
HomePlug in a socket near to where you want the 2nd Router and connect the Ethernet cable to the 2nd
      HomePlug and the 2nd Router
but I don't have a long ethernet cable or homeplugs to connect the 2 together so it wont work.

I can't use a long cable run round the house with out upsetting the wife and if I'm going to have to buy some homeplugs would something like this be better for my needs?
Netgear Universal Wifi Internet Adapter: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Any way more to the point can it not be done via the wifi signal with the 2 routers I've already got?

That WiFi Media Bridge would do the job, but any access to the Internet would reduce. It is something which has been recommended in the past to suit some needs.

A pair of HomePlugs can be found for around 35.

Both will provide a point which the old Sky router can use to provide additional LAN Ports.
