      Belkin Range extender

My uncle has problems getting his Sky wireless all around the house (old thick walls) and asked me for advice.

We looked at different channels but it didn't really help.

One route we're considering is homeplugs, but before spending out money, I remembered I had an old Belkin wireless range extender (F5D7130) and wondered if there was any way to use that.

Any advice on this? How would I go about it.

One option might be to place something in a room upstairs or the loft (away from any insulation that might catch fire from anything that is how of course).

Some HomePlugs have WiFi built in, but since you have the WiFi Extender, you may wish to see if this will work up there and provide enough coverage in his home. If the loft isn't accessible or doesn't have power, an upstairs room might be a suitable location to place the Extender.
