      Boosting Wireless signal?

Hi there, I have the Sagem router from Sky and the wireless on it is absolutely atrocious. I can only get signal in the same room as the router. I was wondering what cost effective options I have to boost the signal, such as homeplugs etc.

      Thanks.

Certainly you can purchase a pair of HomePlugs.

I was looking a little while ago and there is now some that support WiFi n. I have no idea about how they perform personally though. I would expect them to work well though.

Alternatively you could dig out an old WiFi enabled router, set it up with the help of the guide I produced for this scenario, and connect it to your Sky router with either a pair of HomePlugs of a long Ethernet cable.

How to connect two Routers together

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
