Did you re-install the tcp/ipv4 through network and sharing centre?

Did you check that ipv6 was fully disabled through the advanced tab in the device manager?

If not got to device manage click the adapter, go to properties and advanced

check that UDP checksum, TCP/IP and Large send offload were disabled for ipv6

Did you check that ipv6 was fully disabled as mentioned above?

      Re: Laptop connection problem

The more i read on various websites, im starting to think theres a compatibility problem between the adapter and router. Atheros ar5007eg and the sagemcom latest router.

      Re: Laptop connection problem

      The router is terrible.

Just thinking about it I am starting to see more and more of these calls in work.

      Have you tried this

I will admit that all the fixes that I new of have now been told to you. But I will continue to help in any way I can.

Note I didn't know the one mentioned above until I googled it. I have never tried it and am therefore unsure if it works or not.

      Re: Laptop connection problem

Tried that also, even tried manually editing reg files. restored to originally values after finding out it didnt solve problem tho.

Will give another few things tomorrow a try then think will just need to get a wifi usb stick.

Thanks for your time and help, hopefully find a solution soon.

      Re: Laptop connection problem

      Have heard of that working.

Admittedly it was a 3G dongle and not one for wireless, hope all goes well.

This would definitely work as the issue is between the built in WiFi adaptor and the Sky Router.

I have an older Toshiba Laptop which is WiFi g enabled up to channel 11 (USA spec). By plugging a WiFi n adaptor the same laptop could access channel 13 and WiFi n speeds when available.
