Can you see any other wireless networks?
Is the wireless adapter switched on on the desktop?
Can you get a connection via cable?
Have you tried moving the wireless adapter as it may be getting electrical interference (ie too close to the PC PSU?

      Re: Sky Broadband Driver Issue

By adapter I mean the wireless device in the PC taht the router send the signal to.

Does your PC have a wireless PCI card or wireless USB dongle?

If it has a wireless PCI card then it will have an aerial attached to it.

By cable I mean, eerrrrr cable? Have you tried connecting the PC to the router with a cable?

      Re: Sky Broadband Driver Issue

Okay, so you need to find out if it actually does have wireless as per my guidedance about:

If is has a wireless PCI card then you will have an aerial attached to the back of the PC.
If it doesn't then you will have to use a wireless USB dongle that is sticking out of one of the USB ports.

If it has neither then you don't have wireless so will either need to get one of the above or use the provided network cable that came with the router to connnect your PC to the router with a cable.

      Re: Sky Broadband Driver Issue

Its very unlikey that you have Wireless on the PC, but it will probably have a wired network connection. (RJ45). Use the yellow cable supplied with the router to connect one of the 4 ports on the router to the PC.

      Re: Sky Broadband Driver Issue

If I use a USB Dongle and connect via Wireless would this avoid a driver issue? Looked at PC manual and it does show a bit about wireless connections.

      Re: Sky Broadband Driver Issue

If you use a wireless dongle or a PCI wireless card, you will need to install the drivers just like you do when you attach any device to a PC.
