Ahh then it probably wouldn't be worth it then for me. Connection is fine, I was just wondering if web pages would load any faster on my iPad. I did a speed test on my iPad last night a midnight and got 10Mbps. Now it's got about 6Mbps.

I don't think an n router will make a difference will it?

It could. If your speed is fluctuating it probably means there is interference, probably caused by someone switching on their network or some other wireless source coming on. A more powerful N router may overcome this.
What you can try is changing your wireless channel. Download InSSider from the link below and use it to discover the channels in use in your area. Set your router to a channel as far from those in use as possible. If all the main channels 1,6,11 are in use, try 13, it is often the best.
